Privacy Policy

Effective date: 14 August 2026

Welcome to CamA.

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the CamA mobile application and the CamA pages available at bfpsecurity.com/cama.

By downloading, accessing or using CamA, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.

CamA is currently provided as a free Early Access release. Some features that are available free during Early Access may become part of paid plans in a future version. Where practicable, users will be informed before material access or pricing changes are introduced.

1. About CamA

CamA is an iPhone application designed to assist security personnel, lone workers, site staff and other field workers with tasks including:

  • timestamped photo and video capture;

  • location, address and GPS information on evidence;

  • patrol scheduling and reminders;

  • patrol evidence organisation;

  • incident reporting;

  • emergency and site contact access;

  • timesheets and shift patterns;

  • estimated working hours and pay calculations;

  • PDF and CSV exports; and

  • supported Apple Shortcuts and sharing workflows.

CamA is a productivity and record-keeping tool. It is not an emergency service, payroll provider, legal evidence certification service or guaranteed communications service.

2. Early Access

CamA is currently offered as an Early Access product.

During Early Access, features including Patrol, Incident Reports and Timesheets may be made available without charge.

CamA may change, improve, remove or reorganise functionality as the product develops. Some advanced functionality may become paid in a future version.

No current Early Access feature should be interpreted as a promise that the same feature will always remain free.

3. Timestamp and Location Information

CamA can place information such as the following onto photos or videos:

  • date and time;

  • device or network-derived time information;

  • GPS coordinates;

  • location or street address; and

  • CamA branding.

You are responsible for reviewing evidence before relying on or distributing it.

CamA does not guarantee that timestamps, GPS information, addresses or other metadata are perfectly accurate in every circumstance.

Accuracy may be affected by factors such as:

  • device settings;

  • location-service availability;

  • GPS signal quality;

  • network availability;

  • Apple platform behaviour; or

  • user-selected settings.

CamA does not represent that its photos, videos or reports are tamper-proof, cryptographically verified, certified, or automatically admissible as legal evidence.

4. Patrol Features

CamA can assist with patrol schedules, reminders and grouping evidence within configured evidence windows.

Patrol reminders and notifications are convenience features only.

You must not rely on CamA as the sole method of ensuring that a patrol, safety check, welfare check or contractual security obligation is completed.

Notifications may be delayed or unavailable because of device settings, battery state, operating-system restrictions or other circumstances outside CamA's control.

You remain responsible for completing and recording your duties.

5. Incident Reports

CamA can assist you in preparing incident records and attaching relevant evidence.

You are responsible for:

  • ensuring information entered into a report is accurate;

  • ensuring you have the right to capture and use any photographs or video;

  • complying with your employer's procedures; and

  • complying with applicable privacy, data-protection and workplace rules.

CamA does not verify whether an incident report is legally sufficient or suitable for any specific organisation, regulator, insurer, court or authority.

6. Emergency Features

CamA may display stored site contacts, emergency information and provide a native phone handoff to the iPhone calling interface.

CamA is not an emergency response service.

It does not guarantee:

  • that a call is placed successfully;

  • that a call is answered;

  • that an emergency service or employer responds; or

  • that displayed emergency information is correct for every situation.

Always use the appropriate official emergency services and follow your employer's emergency procedures when required.

7. Timesheets and Pay Estimates

CamA includes tools for recording shifts, breaks, rates, hours and estimated pay.

Any calculations produced by CamA are provided for convenience only.

They are not:

  • payroll records issued by an employer;

  • tax advice;

  • accounting advice;

  • employment-law advice; or

  • a guarantee of payment.

You should verify hours, rates, deductions, overtime, taxes and final pay with your employer or payroll provider.

8. Sharing and Third-Party Apps

CamA may allow you to prepare evidence for sharing through Apple sharing features, WhatsApp or other third-party applications.

CamA does not guarantee automatic or silent delivery to any WhatsApp contact, group or third-party recipient.

Where a third-party application controls recipient selection or the final Send action, you are responsible for completing that action.

Once information is transferred to another application or service, its use may also be governed by that third party's own terms and privacy practices.

9. Your Responsibilities

You agree to use CamA lawfully and responsibly.

You must not use CamA to:

  • unlawfully photograph, record or monitor another person;

  • harass, threaten or intimidate others;

  • falsify evidence or records;

  • impersonate another person or organisation;

  • infringe privacy, copyright, trade mark or other rights;

  • interfere with CamA's operation or security;

  • reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it; or

  • use the app for unlawful or fraudulent activity.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of CamA complies with your employment rules, site instructions, contracts and applicable laws.

10. Device and Data Responsibility

CamA's current Early Access version is primarily local-first.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining sufficient storage on your device;

  • backing up information where appropriate;

  • protecting access to your iPhone;

  • checking evidence before deleting it; and

  • maintaining copies of important records where required.

Removing CamA or deleting files from your device may result in loss of locally stored information.

Content separately saved into Apple Photos may remain there until you delete it using the relevant Apple controls.

11. Intellectual Property

CamA, its software, source code, branding, logo, graphics, interface designs, documentation and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws.

Except where permitted by law, you may not:

  • copy or republish CamA source code or proprietary materials;

  • reproduce CamA branding or artwork for commercial use;

  • sell, license or distribute copies of CamA materials without permission;

  • represent another product as being CamA; or

  • remove proprietary notices from materials supplied by CamA.

You retain responsibility for photographs, videos and information that you create or enter using the app, subject to any rights held by your employer or other parties under applicable agreements or law.

12. Website Content

The CamA website is provided for general product information, support and legal notices.

We aim to keep information accurate and current, but website content may occasionally contain errors or become outdated.

Information on the website does not constitute legal, employment, security, financial or professional advice.

13. Cookies

The CamA website may use cookies or similar technologies required for website operation.

If optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies are introduced, they should not be placed before obtaining any consent required by applicable law.

Under UK rules, non-essential cookies generally require an appropriate consent mechanism; simply continuing to browse is not sufficient consent.

Further information should be provided through the website's privacy or cookie information where applicable.

14. App Availability and Updates

We may release updates to CamA to:

  • fix bugs;

  • improve security;

  • introduce or modify features;

  • maintain compatibility with iOS;

  • meet legal or App Store requirements; or

  • change Early Access functionality.

Some functionality may require a newer version of CamA or iOS.

We cannot guarantee that CamA will always be available without interruption.

15. Future Paid Features

CamA is currently available free during Early Access.

Future versions may introduce subscriptions, paid plans or paid functionality.

If paid products are introduced through the App Store, applicable purchases may be processed by Apple and subject to Apple's purchasing and subscription terms.

Current Early Access availability does not create a permanent entitlement to future paid functionality.

16. Privacy

Use of CamA is also subject to the CamA Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how app permissions, local information and any applicable third-party services are handled.

A privacy policy is also required for App Store submission and must accurately explain collection, use, sharing, retention and deletion practices.

17. Disclaimer

CamA is provided on an โ€œas availableโ€ basis.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not guarantee that:

  • the app will always operate without interruption or error;

  • all device, location or network information will be perfectly accurate;

  • notifications will always be delivered;

  • third-party sharing will always succeed;

  • reports will satisfy a particular legal or contractual standard; or

  • calculated hours or pay will match an employer's final payroll records.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

UK consumer contract terms must remain fair and transparent, and certain liabilities cannot simply be excluded by contract.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or that arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where CamA is used for business or professional purposes, you remain responsible for maintaining appropriate operational procedures, backups, supervision and independent records.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

  • any other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

The latest version will be published on the CamA website with an updated effective date.

Where a change materially affects use of CamA, we may provide additional notice where reasonably appropriate.

Continued use of CamA after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those updated Terms, subject to rights you have under applicable law.

20. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the legal publisher of CamA, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you in your country of residence.

Before public launch, replace this paragraph with the final publisher's correct governing-law and jurisdiction wording.
